Gold River Golf & Country Club

The Gold River Golf & Country Club offers some of the finest golfing possible on Vancouver Island. This full size 9 hole course is sitting beside the Gold River and boasts not only some of the most picturesque golfing available but also some of the finest greens anywhere.

Our licensed lounge is great for families wanting to enjoy a lunch or dinner out, or an appetizer and a beverage. Unfortunately though we do get some rain…lots of rain during the winter months and as a result the course is generally closed from November to April each year.

Gold River Motorally

The Gold River Motorally is an annual three day, motorcycle roadbook navigation rally over the gravel roads surrounding the village of Gold River on the northwest side of Vancouver Island.

The event takes place every June and you can expect a 3 day roadbook rally with Richta GPS timing covering close to 300 miles. Camping available at the Gold River Municipal Campground.

Two classes – timed and untimed. Bikes and riders must be road legal!

“Jonathan also offers to guide individuals and small groups of motorcyclists on tours around the gravel roads of the North Island. Single or multi-day.”

See below for more information.

Mowachaht Muchalaht First Nations

“The Mowachaht/Muchalaht First Nation, situated along the west coast of Vancouver Island, has flourished for countless generations, well before any recorded history.

Our ancestral lands, known as hahoothlee, include the heart of our Nation, Yuquot, located in Nootka Sound.

We deeply honor the Mowachaht/Muchalaht First Nation’s inherent rights, title, and traditional governance. In our hahoothlee, the chiefs (ḥaw’iih) were entrusted with the duty of managing access, with entire village sites falling under the stewardship of the local group’s chief (ḥaw’ił) who resided there.”
